伊勢神宮は、正式には「神宮」と称される、日本の神社の中で最も格式の高いお社です。内宮（皇大神宮）には日本の総氏神である天照大御神を、外宮（豊受大神宮）には衣食住の守り神・豊受大御神をお祀りしています。
Officially known simply as "Jingu," Ise Jingu is the most revered shrine in all of Japan. The Inner Shrine (Naiku) enshrines Amaterasu Omikami, the supreme deity and ancestral spirit of the imperial family. The Outer Shrine (Geku) is dedicated to Toyouke no Omikami, the guardian of food, clothing, and shelter.

二十年に一度の式年遷宮では社殿を丸ごと建て替え、常に新しく、常に変わらぬ姿を保つ。この「常若（とこわか）」の精神は、伊勢神宮ならではの信仰のかたちです。広大な神域は宇治橋から始まり、五十鈴川のせせらぎ、樹齢数百年の杉の大木に囲まれた参道が、訪れる人を静かに迎え入れます。
Every twenty years, the shrine buildings are entirely rebuilt in a sacred ritual called Shikinen Sengu, embodying the concept of eternal renewal — always new, yet forever unchanged. The vast sacred grounds begin at the Uji Bridge, with the gentle flow of the Isuzu River and towering cedar trees lining the approach, welcoming visitors into a realm of profound tranquillity.
