大神神社は、奈良県桜井市に鎮座する日本最古の神社の一つです。最大の特徴は、背後にそびえる三輪山そのものをご神体としていること。そのため本殿を持たず、拝殿から直接三輪山を拝する、日本の神祇信仰の原初の形を今に伝えています。
Omiwa Jinja, located in Sakurai, Nara, is one of the oldest shrines in Japan. Its most distinctive feature is that the mountain behind it — Mt. Miwa — is itself the object of worship. The shrine has no main hall; worshippers pray directly toward the mountain, preserving the most ancient form of Japanese spiritual practice.

ご祭神の大物主大神は、国造りの神であるとともに、酒造りの神としても知られ、全国の酒蔵から崇敬を集めています。拝殿前に吊るされた杉玉（酒林）は、新酒の季節を告げるものとして全国の酒蔵に広まりました。参道の大鳥居から続く松並木、そして神聖な三輪山の姿が、訪れる人の心を静かに浄化します。
The enshrined deity Omononushi is known as the god of nation-building and also of sake brewing, drawing reverence from breweries across Japan. The sugidama (cedar ball) hung before the worship hall has spread to sake breweries nationwide as a sign of new vintage. The pine-lined approach from the grand torii and the sacred silhouette of Mt. Miwa quietly purify the hearts of all who visit.
